0870 call charges have changed. As of the 1st August 2009 the caller no longer pays to call the number, but you will pay 2p per minute to receive the calls.
Many businesses such as the BBC have switched to 03 Numbers so that they are not hit with the bills. The caller pays the same as if they call a STD 01 or 02 number.
